Not All Maps are Road Maps

Maps are one of the many items we provide here at Formax Printing. Usually the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of maps are the folded road maps you pick up at rest areas, gas stations and Welcome centers. Some may think paper maps are a thing of the past with all the GPS technology that we have today, but there are many other uses for maps than just a road trip aid!

Not All Maps Are Road Maps!

Maps come in different styles and sizes, but the all have a general purpose - to help guide you to your destination. A freshman attending their first year of college receives a map of the campus. A family on vacation to a theme park or zoo grabs a map easily find their favorite spots. A hiker exploring areas where good service may not exist could use a map to stay on the right path. A store owner with many locations may want a way to display all the stores so their customers can see where to find them within their state. These are all examples of how printed maps are still used in may places today!

Maps can be produced in different ways to best suit the purpose it was intended for. Thinking of the uses mentioned above. The college that the freshman is attending would benefit from ordering padded tear of maps as a cost-effective way to provide campus maps to a large amount of new students. The family visiting a park would most likely want a map that can be folded down to a compact size that fits in their pocket or small bag. The hiker would want a synthetic paper stock map, which can bear the elements with it's waterproof/tearproof properties. And that store owner could proudly display their locations on a large wall map inside the store. Choosing the right style of map is an important part of planning, and we can help you decide what will work best for your need!

Whatever your purpose, Formax has a solution. We are here to guide your guests to their destination, where ever that may be! Are you in need of map printing services? Reach out to us at 866-938-3757 or submit our quote request form and we would be happy to assist you!
